A New Day has begun, a New Year has arisen and a New set of goals must be created to keep our lives in order. We have enjoyed the Christmas Holiday season, enjoying good food and festive drinks. The year 2018 has come and gone. Remember the good along with the bad. Now is the time we start thinking about the goals we need to create for the new year. I think it is important to follow a certain set of goals to improve our lives. It might not be for everyone. Not everyone will agree it necessary to make plans but I love and thrive on being organized.
We start off every new year with every good intention of staying true to our goals. In our head, we say we will change our ways. We make plans and goals but we never write these goals down. And when we never write these things down, we never stay dedicated or true to our word. We forget about everything we promised ourselves we would accomplish the start of the new year. In our head, we think, if we never write it down we don’t have stay accountable for it. It’s all about accountability. Let this New Year be different. Let’s write everything down and stay accountable for all the goals we plan for.
To move forward into the new year, you must also explore the goals you created in 2018 and see if you need to improve your goal plan for this new year. You need to ask yourself … “where do I need to improve my goals for the new year compared to last year?” “Did I accomplish everything I set out to do in 2018?”
The concept of a New Year’s Resolution is to reflect upon self-improvement annually. So, if you are having a hard time choosing what goals you want to accomplish, following are perhaps some goals that you might want to try out:
List of Goals
- Lose weight (I’m sure this one is at the top of everyone’s list … lol!)
- Walk more
- Start Training for Marathon
- Spend less Save more
- Keep Track of all Expenses
- Keep a Diary (whether for weight-loss or updating your goals)
- Make more time for yourself (you worked so hard at work and with your family this passed year…take aside at least an hour of everyday and do something for yourself)
- Save money for a new house
- Save money for a family vacation
- Read a New Book
- Teach Yourself a New Craft
- Donate (to a good cause or the less fortunate)
- Start a Blog (write on a regular basis)
- Get Organized (everyone could tweak their system of organization)
- Create a Bucket List
- Go To Bed Earlier (I need to follow this one myself … lol!)
Each of these could be expanded upon. A New Year’s Resolution should not be something that overwhelms you. Keep your goals modest. I want to help you accomplish the goals you made for yourself. What you need is to be able to write down all your future goals. I have created a few lists for you to keep you inspired and organized with all you hope to achieve this year.
With these lists you will be able to write down accomplishments according to their significance in your life, monthly goals, yearly goals and annual goals. Their are 6 lists that you can copy as many times as you need. You can keep them in your day planner or in your purse for easy access. You will remember to write down daily goals if you want to keep yourself accountable. I can’t wait to use these lists myself. After a hectic 2018 that I’m sure we all had, we could use this time as we start a New Year, to track our performance in all aspects of our lives.
So I want to wish you all a very healthy and Happy New Year and let’s get this party started. Let’s make 2019 much better than 2018.
