When I find the time, I love to read. Over the years I have gained an admiration for writing. Once I know what I’m going to write about, I can go on forever.
Hi there! My name is Sylvia Raic. I have two beautiful children, a son of 19 years, in college and a daughter 15 years of age – in high school in her junior year.
I have a wonderful and loving husband who is an outstanding father and is always on the go trying to multi-task around us. He is a dedicated family man.
I have had a creative soul for a very long time. It started with a small pocket-sized camera I was gifted from my parents at the young age of 11 or 12. It was the size of a Hershey Chocolate bar (always thinking of chocolate 🙂 ) and came with an equally sized flash bar. WOW! (Something similar to the photo on the right) I wish I knew what happened to that camera. I’m sure I have it somewhere. I rarely throw out special memorabilia like that. I keep everything
I took that camera everywhere with me and snapped everything in site. Over the years, I built up my camera collection. Saved all of them. Then came the digital era. Well, I had to have me one of those as well. At the time, that was so foreign to me. Photos captured on a camera card. And you don’t have to go get film developed. WOW! What a concept. So that meant, when I went on vacation, I didn’t have to take countless rolls of film with me.
After all these years, my passion for photography has not died. The love for it has increased. I am always wanting to learn more. And my other passion (yes I can have two) was reading (when I find the time). From reading, came a passion for writing. Some day I will write my first novel but until then, I want to write here in my blog where I can share with all of you.
This is what my blog had stemmed from: to empower woman, who have reached this amazing milestone, with the drive they still have in themselves. The dreams they once had and thought can never be revived, can still come alive and to fruition. My passion and dream was photography and writing and I thought that it wasn’t for me anymore. But I brought it to life and now run a newborn photography business and the odd wedding photoshoots.
Come join me on my journey as I share my knowledge on various things I have learned over the years! From: crafting to gardening, from baking to travel info., from family life to financial help. And I of course will share with you simple photography tips you can adhere to your own creativity.
